Is this virus a spiritual wake up call?

For most of the people in the world, what we are going through at this point of time is a confusing feeling that they cannot explain, therefore feelings of fear, depression, and anxiety are growing into them. For those that are more spiritual connected with the world, their selves, and are seeing things through a different spectrum, it is a time of personal growth, awaking, and unity. Everyone now has the power to either spread the fear or spread the light and love. As Sahara Rose, an expert in mind and body, Ayurveda specialist, and approved by the master Deepak Chopra with hundreds of followers, says at her latest newsletter "In times of fear, we are meant to embody the sun."

Listening her powerful podcast today, it was like she had looked inside my brain the last few days. I am in the house know almost a week, locked with a 5 year old and a teenager, with minimal outings just for grocery shopping. I decided social distancing much earlier than any of my friend. I felt that, that what has to be done as early as possible.  When everything started escalating and the news reporting the new findings, my fear and anxiety hit red. Families and friends are in Greece, we can't travel if there is a need, and nobody really knows for how long we all have to live this way. Uncertainty for so many things, from if there will be food or medical shortage, here or in Greece, to what if we or our family needs to see doctor and cannot. For me it was a step further. It was a worry about all my friends and their families that are spread all around. For my friends in the Netherlands, Norway, England, Belgium, Japan and Florida.

But as the days were passing a sense of acceptance arose. A feeling that this is a lesson to be learned. Is here to teach us something, since we are all together in this. It is here to give us prospective, to appreciate, to be more humble, to decluttered our minds, our actions, our life. It was like the universe decided to push the breaks by itself, and say to us "stop, look what you have done to you and the earth, look what your priorities are, look everything you have been ignoring until know."  It was like the earth said enough. You don't so anything about me, I will do it by myself. As Sahara Rose highlights in her podcast and I was also realizing is the positive changes that this virus has caused to the environment that already. Clearer skies and seas.

Watching a sunset can be an awaking experience

This virus came at a season that most of the people love and await, and I am one of them. Spring! The time that everything looks like it is being born again. And by us slowing down almost to a stop, we have the opportunity to see this transformation day by day. Even to the most crowded with buildings city, there will be a sign of Spring. The other day I was driving back from my only outing and the sunset had started. The sky was so beautiful dressed in oranges, yellows, blues and grays, the birds were tweeting one last time for the evening, and the deers were gathering so to find a place to rest. That moment I felt that we have overcome the monster, that everything was in the past. Because nature showed up, and shows up every day, every season. Overcomes, dies and arises again.

We need perseverance like this tree in a village from Crete island in Greece,
that blooms although only few of the roots are
touching the soil.

No, being in a pink bubble is not a way to see what is going on around us right now. But if we want to help our mental health, we have to see the bigger picture. We have to start thinking as a unity, and no as person, we need to be present, we need to protect those that need us. We have to be bigger than ourselves.

As Sahara Rose mentions in he podcast, how many of us have been complaining for years for the luck of free time, for the luck of staying home and doing what we don't have time to do, for being there with our kids and our spouses? And now that the not pleasant circumstances are asking us to do exactly what we were wishing at one point, we react and resist. We just have to accept, learn and support. We just have to spread love, empathy, and compassion. Show to the people around you the same perseverance you will if you have been asked to complete project at work.

Remember on these challenging times to keep having a normality in your life, to express often your feelings, to laugh, because it is good for your immune system! and to let your body free to release all the blocked energy through dancing, exercising, and resting. Lets pray for all these people that left us and remember that "We are all in this together!
